The Finney County Public Library's Teen Summer Reading Program 2009!
We encourage ALL patrons between the ages of 13-17 to participate!
This year's program format is "BINGO!" For each square you complete you will receive an entry into the weekly drawing (held on Fridays throughout the program)! Get a "BINGO" and your name will automatically be entered into the
"GRAND PRIZE DRAWING" on July 17, 2009! One Grand Prize entry per person. BONUS.... Get a BLACKOUT on your BINGO board and you will automatically receive an EXTRA entry into the Grand Prize Drawing!
One bonus entry per person.
This years Grand Prize will be a brand new "IPOD"!!!
Our Teens Summer Reading Program will also include:
2 Teen Art Contests, 2 Teen Paper Contests and an
"Open Mic Night" on June 24, 2009 from 5-7 PM

ALL LIBRARY CONTESTS, EVENTS AND PROGRAMS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
For children 6-12 yrs. old who have a valid library card.
You must read at your level or be read to, a minimum of....
40 books if you are 6-8 yrs. old
30 books if you are 9-10 yrs. old
20 books if you are 11-12 yrs. old
25 pages equal 1 book if you are reading a chapter book from the Young Adult (YA) or Adult Collection. All other chapter books count as 1 book.
To enter the weekly drawing you must to read (or be read to) 5 books or
125 pages from a YA or Adult book (weeks run Saturday through Friday).
There will be (4) four contests for this summer; (2) two art contests that the library will take to the Finney County Fair in August and (2) two fun paper contests. You will be able to pick up instructions & information at the Summer Reading Desk as each contest is posted.
A valid library card and sign up are required to participate in Summer Reading.
We will also be presenting three (3) special event days:
